Hey everyone. I just got a new PC and the keyboard is not very nice.
I do programming, so I type ALOT. I need a really nice keyboard with full-size full-travel keys.
I'd love to have a keyboard that has that nice "click" action of the old keyboard.
All the ones I've seen lately have keys like a notebook computer. Really low profile and not much movement. I don't like those.
Does anyone use a wireless keyboard that they love ? That is good for someone who does alot of typing, and hopefully has a wireless mouse with it.

Does that byte of memory hold "A", 65, $41 or %01000001 ?
Yes it does...

I do enough typing to have come down with Carpel Tunnel, and have the surgery scar to prove it.
I took a trip to our local Staples store and actually put my hands on a bunch of different keyboards. I sometimes am also using a mouse enough that I will "one hand type", so the full blown ergonomic "split" keyboards didn't really suite me.
I ended up with a Microsoft 6000 keyboard. It has the "wave" to the rows of keys, and this helped a LOT. The keys are indeed flat, like a laptop, but have a decent amount of movement, and about as good a feel as I've found. I'm a very "heavy" typer (I learned on a real live Underwood mechanical typwriter), and the keyboard has lasted over a year so far (typically I can screw one up in about 9 months).
It came with a decent wireless mouse, but I have a gargantuan hand, and went with a Microsoft "Natural" mouse, but don't use the thumb slot, I put my thumb on the extended base, and the mouse is still a little small.
Make sure the keyboard is comfortable, and by all means, get one of the those gell supports, or use a folded towel or soemthing for your wrists or balls of your hands to rest on.
Speaking of keyboard requests, I was using a very nice and slip Logitech keyboard, that have the nemeric keypad separate. This was nice when you didn't need the keypad, because the mouse could be closer to the alpa part of the keyboard, but you could slide the keypad in place when you wanted to play with numbers. Unfortunately, the keyboard did not hold up to my heavy hands. Does anyone know of a good keyboard without the numeric keypad on?

I have had it for about a year and a half now, and I really like it. The keys have as much movement as an old keyboard. Also, the batteries also seem to last forever.
