I recently got one of these and hooked it up via serial connection with a BS2 www.talkbotbrain.com/index.htm#source

Its a blast! You can store and play any sound file in the .wav format. Up to 24 seconds, you can put "pointers" in to make files accessible by 1byte commands that will play the first 26 sounds or (2byte will play all 256 possible sounds) For example, sending "A" plays the first sound, "B" the second and so on, the Talkbot also send a return byte when it is done with the sound, a 0 for the first sound("A") and 1 for the second("B")...etc.

I have not tried to use the servo movement yet, will post details when I do.

You need some free downloads from his site to manipulate the .wav files and load them to the "Brain"
BTc sound encoder: www.talkbotbrain.com/source_files/BTcSE30BETA.zip
SendFile :www.talkbotbrain.com/source_files/SendFile_Install.zip
If you get it with the slave 2 installed it works with the 2400 baud (baudmode 396)

Using the Say-it module I have put together an interactive unit that plays back "Star-Trek" sounds. I have yet to "crack" the Say-It GUI so I am stuck with the words in its library for now. This Video shows what I mean
