Moving servo - power supply

Hi I have made a program on the Bs2p to move an old Futaba S3001 servo with a pot.
www.gpdealera.com/cgi-bin/wgainf100p.pgm?I=FUTM0029

It works great but every now and then the stamp board resets.

I am assuming from that I need to supply the servo with its own power supply and not steal power from VDD on the board ?

I think you have it ! Usually a reset occurs if the supply to the BS2x drops too low. try a dedicated servo supply.

RC Servos are designed to operate from 4.8-6V, ie a 4 or 5 cell NiCd or NiMH pack. A single servo can have drain currents as high as 500ma. Provide your servo a ground path directly to the battery such that the BS2 is not in series with the servo's ground or supply returns.
