Has any tried controlling a Windows CE GPS or Windows Mobile Smartphone with Propeller?
I think the only challenge is getting the FTDI drivers to talk to work.
I think the Iphone has a serial out emulator: http://devdot.wikispaces.com/Iphone+Serial+Port+Tutorial
I wonder if other cheap pda phones or GPS units can work by interfacing with the FTDI chip?
They have a nice display, battery and touchscreen and would make a nice embedded system quickly. I've seen GPS units for $50-100 that run Windows CE but I'm not sure if they have a USB port (though they do have a mini usb port for charging the unit).
For a larger display/keyboard/etc. I'd just buy a $150 netbook.

Apparently they run Windows CE from a Smart Card. It would be cool to add the FTDI drivers in there and run your own custom apps to talk to the propeller.
