Getting close to making my 8 x 8 inch circuit board CNC cutter
Has anyone here done any hole plating on home made circuit boards?
I am toying with the idea that one could simply mill the traces and pads on blank non copper clad FR4 and then simply plate the traces and pads as well as the holes. I read some on how to plate holes and the chemicals you need to do it but still not sure how the rest of the board does not get plated.
Oh the new DIPTRACE beta imports eagle files as well as the librarys. It also exports DXF files you can import to cam programs to make the gcode files.
One other note, Ti has a new bipolar stepper chip DRV8811 now sampeling, no suppliers yet. Similar function to allegros unipolar chip driver SLA7070 series.

Think Inside the box first and if that doesn't work..
Re-arrange what's inside the box then...
Think outside the BOX!

For the plating, check this thread:

I put a link on the last post on that thread for PCB eyelets. They are used to repair damaged through-holes and will work great prototyping.
