Hi i was wondering if i can hook up a camera to the propeller demo board and then view the video on a lcd screen like this one:
http://www.parallax.com/Store/Accessories/Displays/tabid/159/CategoryID/34/List/0/Level/a/ProductID/337/Default.aspx?SortField=ProductName,ProductName

and this one is the camera i plan on using:
http://www.jameco.com/Jameco/Products/ProdDS/213436.pdf
http://www.jameco.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?langId=-1&storeId=10001&catalogId=10001&productId=213436

so would it be possible and how could i hook the camera up to the board?

if anyone knows of a better camera or maybe one that is easier to hook up then please tell me

oh yeah by the way is it possible to send video over a network using these:
http://www.parallax.com/Store/Accessories/Communication/tabid/161/CategoryID/36/List/0/Level/a/ProductID/112/Default.aspx?SortField=ProductName,ProductName
http://www.parallax.com/Store/Accessories/Communication/tabid/161/CategoryID/36/List/0/Level/a/ProductID/113/Default.aspx?SortField=ProductName,ProductName
or would the video just take up to much bandwidth or something?

thanks alot for any help

    Hello nemes,

sending Video over the Parallax 433 MHz RF Receiver is REALLY far off the bandwidth the Parallax 433 MHz RF Receiver can provide.

If you need the camera wireless take a wireless-camera with receiving unit that is ready to plug and play

If you just want to display the video-picture on a screen you don't need to decode the video-signal and RE-code it again for showing it
on a display. Just take a camera that has an Video-composite-output connect it to this parallax-display and you are done.

Decoding and recoding the signal in realtime is far above what the propeller can do.

Please tell us what you want to do IN THE END.

In 98% of all cases - as soon as the forum knows the whole project much better solutions can be suggested.

    best regards

    Stefan

oh one more thing, i am pretty sure the lcd screen:
    http://www.parallax.com/Store/Accessories/Displays/tabid/159/CategoryID/34/List/0/Level/a/ProductID/337/Default.aspx?SortField=ProductName,ProductName

uses a rca cable but i just need to make sure it really does , so does any one know for sure if it does or not? and does it also have like a power cable for it like a dv 12 volt cable?
if it had a manual or something then i wouldn't need to ask but i couldn't find one for it.

Yes, the LCD you are looking at uses RCA. It has two video Inputs, one of which puts a white cross in the middle of the screen.

what do you mean by a whit cross, if i were to hook the screen up to say a dvd player or something then is it going to have like a white line going across it?

    Hello Nemes,

if a wireless camera-module and display is what you want to do - I highly recommend to buy a product from the shelf ready to use
