GPS module error

I just connected by GPS module to a bs2 but I'm not getting any data. The·status led on the module flashes when first powered up then remains solid constantly(indiacting sats acquired). the headers are on the debug screen but, I never get any data·and " Error: No response from GPS Receiver Module·" displays·just below the headers. The code i'm using is straight from the gps manual from parallax and sio is connected to p15.

I'm using a bs2 homework board. I have a bs2px that I can use if needed.

Since you make reference to the "SIO" pin, I'm assuming you have the Parallax Item #28146 GPS. The program you are refering to uses the "Smart Mode" of the module. To use this mode, make sure the "/RAW" pin is not connected to anything.

Sorry, yes I do have the 28146 GPS module. I have tried leaving the /raw pin not connected and tied to 5vdc both ways give me the same error.

Is it a standard BS2 or BS2sx or BS2P or..?
Nevermind, I just saw it is a BS2 Homework Board.
