Stingray, Ping, and the Signal resistor

Hi guys -
I am trying to get the ping sensors working on my Stingray - and I have a "stupid" question. Is the signal pin resistor (as documented ion the Ping.spin Object) needed on the Stingray? I can't seem to get my Stingray to behave as expected with 3 pings installed. I have uploaded David Carrier's Pings On the Stingray but am not sure how to implement 1k resisters give the headers on the Stingray. Is that a factor?

Thanks for any insight,

The Ping is a 5V device, the Propeller is a 3.3V device. If you want to directly connect the two, you will need a series resistor. Since the Stingray has 5v logic level shifters, you won't (since each side will interface with the correct voltage).
