Add analog to digital with the new chip MCP3202 to the Basic Stamp.

hi,

I read that Parallax is selling a new analog to digital converter called
MCP3202 and I would like to understand about the difference
between the older chip called LTC1298.

I am not an expert , but I understand that both are 12 bits resolution
my problem is about the differences.

Are them too different ?

I think the biggest difference is that the LTC1298 is available in surface mount packaging only while the MCP3202 is also available in a PDIP package. I've not used either chip, but I briefly reviewed both datasheets and they seem to be roughly the same. I'm sure there are small differences that you could detect by carefully comparing the two datasheets, but they're essentially used the same way.
