Turns a Prop Plug into a Prop Clip and allows you to program a board just by having 4 pads somewhere on the board with the 4 needed connections for programming. I see this done a lot for JTAG devices. PCB designers put down a row of test pads instead of a TH header.

Maybe you should make one on a small piece of PCB that plugs into the header instead of soldering the pogo pins directly?

Yes they are spring loaded. Soldered direct because it was simple and cheap.

I have built a test rig with almost 40 of these for testing my propmod-1x1 without headers.

Great idea. It's not new, but probably is to most on this forum, so thanks for posting it.

I use jumpers but it presumes the holes are adequate size. I have had a group of RS232 pins wired M-M, M-F & F-F about 6" long. I had them made 20-30 years ago. I just put a little heatshrink on them. They also fit nicely onto pin stakes.

All little gems greatly appreciated.
