Is there a hyperterminal app that works in Vista?
Also can you communicate with hyperterminal from a BS2?

If you Google "hyperterminal for Vista", there are several alternatives, including some free standalone Hyperterminal versions.
Yes the BS2 (and any other Stamp I've tried) will talk to Hyperterminal quite nicely.
Cheers,

You might look into the the Parallax Serial Terminal software from the page above and give it a try with your BASIC Stamp. It was written as a replacement for some of the functions of·Hyperterminal for the Propeller Education Kit labs when Vista came out, because the PE Kit Labs were initially dependent on Hyperterminal.
The Parallax Serial Terminal is a stand-alone program but is very similar in appearance and functionality to the BASIC Stamp Editor's Debug Terminal. It's Baud Rate options have settings between 300 and 3,000,000.
