Hello
I cant get vista to recognize my bs2 with a px cpu.. i have tested the board by hooking up a led to the vdd and vss ... I can bring up the debug terminal and set it to com 4 and the transmit lights flash. by the way this is a usb board.. have downloaded and installed the driver from parallax.
if you need more info please feel free to ask.. if you have any suggestions please (nice ones please heheh) voice them to me.. want to get back into the swing of things. I have the 2.0 editor .. just cant get the editor to see the stanp

if its USP then make sure you have the drivers that parallax has in the downloads section.
http://www.parallax.com/ProductInfo/Accessories/FTDIUSBDrivers/tabid/530/Default.aspx
or if it's Serial what error does it give you?
and the dbl post it happens now and again ... it is usb and i havd downloaded and installed the drivers.. i will check it and do it again your url may be a newer one than i have . hehe
thanks will let you know

Try this
disconnect your bs2 board
hold your windows key and pause break your system window should show up go to device manager
keep this window up and then connect your bs2 board is there anything new added in that list DONT HIT THE + or there will be a lot of sub devices just in the main window is what we are looking for.
i am going to look around and see if i have a different cable .. to see if that is the problem ...
thanks for your help
Phil
in the window i talked about in the earlyer post the device manager window will show you if its a connection issue here is what my usb board tells me when i connect the device
