I'll keep this short-
I was just wondering if there was any sort of code that I could type into the Propeller IDE that would force the HYDRA to reset.
If you know of anything I could do, please let me know!

Do you want something like the SPIN equivalent of the REBOOT command?

Ah, yes, that would be what I'm looking for, if you could provide that, that would be great.
have a look at the code attached, it's·my·mod of comboKeyboard.spin that will reset when hitting ctrl+alt+del.
can't remember who·hinted this technique for reset in an old thread... thanks to him anyway.

From the IDE itself there is not a command to reset the Propeller, however if you toggle the DTR pin from any PC program capable of toggling the DTR pin, you can cause a reset to the Propeller.
One program example that can do this is the Parallax Serial Terminal.
Short of that if you want to do it from the Propeller itself, the SPIN "REBOOT" command should work.

As Mike mentioned above, simply doing an "F7 Identify Propeller" is a quick and easy way to reset the prop in the IDE.
I use it all the time when I've botched a calculation and my guitar amp starts spewing high volume noise. F7 is the emergency shut-up key :)

lt's not particularly silly, is it?
So it does. Hmmm, I guess I just don't use F7 that often. I stand corrected.
