Don't get me wrong, I like Linux, but thought these were pretty good, and spot on:

So far, the Browser is limiting my Ubuntu to 32 bit, but the installation is far more pleasant than Windows and seems far less prone to failure.
Fun's fun and Linux is a bit weird at first. One really has to learn a different way to get good answers as there are many web sites that deal with just one aspect of it.
But considering the M$ problem of buying your way out of any problem, it is a keeper. I still hang on to a Windows on dual boot for Parallax IDEs and other such must have.
With Linux , you will just learn a lot more and for FREE.

I had XP and 32-bit Jaunty on my 17" laptop and when the laptop had to be sent away for a fault I took the hard drive from it and put it inside a new 12" notebook (came with Vista basic). Guess what? It just worked first time, although I still cannot convince XP to do the same even with all the drivers I had to download.
The new Karmic has a "Ubuntu Software Store" under the System menu that improves upon Synaptic and the Add/Remove Software methods and turns software selection into a candy store. I'll have that one, and that one, and that one. Of course Windoze has nothing like any of these internal add software features, does it?! Imagine how long that would take if it did as it insists on restarting after every install.
