Now would probably be a good time to learn how to create a custom part.

You add name and value using ">NAME" and ">VALUE" as texts (so you add those texts where you want that info displayed) in the Name, Value or tName/bName, tValues/bValues layers. Do no forget them so the name (i.e. C10) and value (100nF) show in the schematic and PCB layout.

Okey, wait.. now I have another problem.....
When I lay down the wires they do not line up with the pins on the smaller packages. What do I do?

If the wires don't line up, make the grid setting smaller. View/Grid. Defaults to 0.1" I think, which is too coarse for smaller package sizes. Don't make it too fine though, as it increases the autorouter time.

Thanks! That worked! Also, is there a standard SMD resistor/capacitor size?

Yes, all the standard sizes are there but you have to find them in amongst the non standard ones!

Caps and resistors are in the RCL menu. Try any of the caps first, scroll through them and the first half are through hole the second half are surface mount. I tend to find the right one, check it is right on the board and against the part number, and then copy it for all the components needed and change the value.

Parallax and I think Brian Carpenter are working on an EAGLE library, an official library, for all of the Parallax parts. Perhaps he can post what work has been done for the Propeller chip.

try looking under rcl for 0603. most of the resisters i sent you are that size.

by the way library on eagle site is wrong for qfn. here is correct library

you can easily build any part from its data sheet. if you have the part number search for it on digikey you will easily find the datasheet on there.

There are a few eeproms. I tried searching for 'eeprom' and lots of DIP parts came up, but there is a SMD one about 2/3 down the list, in the microchip library under 24LC*. Searching Eagle libraries can be a bit tricky - if you have a moment just mindlessly scroll through everything in the library as it is amazing what is there.

If you haven't already, check out the SparkFun Eagle library. It has many components difficult to find elsewhere, including the Xbee, and many (but not all) of the parts sold by SparkFun cross referenced by the SparkFun part number.
