This has been mentioned off and on.

Has anyone done this successfully? What circuit did you use?

    Thanks!

Looks to me like this is pretty easy. The data sheet shows the chroma can be either on the baseband (start + 1 pin), or on the broadcast audio pin (start + 3).

Both use the same resistor too. A demo board will show the same baseband image either way, as this resistor is wired the same on both pins.

S-Video then is really all about setting the VCFG bits, and that (start + 3) pin wired apart from the other three.

Your very welcome. I've been gathering any information I can on the propeller, i'm new to the prop, but not PBasic. I was looking for the same circuit today :)

Just be aware there will be some differences between S-Video and composite. The big one is no super-saturated colors when using lum 0 & 7. Normal colors may also have lower saturation depending on whether the TV uses colorburst or sync for AGC and the size of the chroma resistor vs the luma network (if it uses sync).

The big bonus with S-Video is your luma changes will not cause color artifacts and the luma bandwidth is not limitted to 7.16MHz (455 pixels per line). Chroma is still bandwidth limitted though.
