Single bit sound experiments from 1980's as demos for demo board.
Originally inspired by a musical light show assumed to be automatic.
Nsynth: Already done onr Hydra; Automatic audiovisual sound generator. (invention)
ChampAllSound: Binary Champernowne Number Audiovisualizer. The Number by definition contains all possible
data in counting order, here played as sounds, with pauses between orders of magnitude. Stops at
%11111111111111111111111111111111, by which time you'd probably be driven insane.
ViRecPlay: A simulation of a very primitive single-bit sound recorder and player. It stores 30 seconds
of 1-bit sound on the screen from DEMOboard microphone and then plays back and then repeats the
cycle. It is very noisy but a tone control or graphic equalizer and an ampliffier improves the sound,
which is an audible illusion anyway, first discovered by forcing audio into serial ports.
ViRays-Inspiration: This is a NEW song I made up to sound like a light show that inspired my interest in
synthesis about 30 years ago. Guess which one? Lyrics displayed on screen to help understand them.
It is meant to be about that light show. Basically the same 1-bit sound player as ViRecplay.
