Anyone know what this is called?

I'm looking to buy a nice hand held wireless controller module that would let me press a button and a nice digital signal would then appear somewhere else from a reciever indicating if the button was pressed or not.

I'm not sure what this is called however, I want a controller that feels like regular RC controllers but I'm not trying to control servos. I just need logic level signals.

Anyone understand what I'm looking for? A good example would be something like a wireless gamepad that I could hook up to the propeller chip with a receiver and get all the button states on the game pad. The contoller needs to feel big and sturdy. Not·like a car remote that you would find on your keychain.

Thanks for your help,

Can't be a keyfob however. Needs to have a good feel to it.

Its for controlling a walking·robot. I want the user to use both hands while driving it.

I'm taking up the project of pimping it out more. I'm one of the officers for the robotics club at carnegie mellon where it was built.
