Serial SX-Key ????

Hi guys I am brand new to the SX and have recently acquired an SX-Proto board I was also give given a programing key to go along with the board but I can not find info on it
Its a SX-KEY has the 4 pin female connector on one end for the board but the other end is a 7 pin Serial connector ,, can I just use the software for the USB Key?? will the IDE still work the same its defiantly a Parallax SX-Key it says it right on it but even checking the discontinued section yielded no help thanks guys

    I got it to work it seems fine using parallax SX Key Editor 3.3 nice little chip I love the debugger built into the IDE single step is a nice feature wish the prop had that
