Is there a Reverse Say it! Module ?

The speech recogniton say it module seems nice. Does anyone know of an affordable module about that size that has an understandable robot voice that could talk it stand alone. I want to just wire it to the robot and i want to be able to UNDERSTAND what it says. Most of these items either talk to low or they do not sound legible.· I would like for it to sound like a GPS or something in a Female or Male Voice. Not a robot voice that I can not tell what it is saying.· Does this make sense?

Also, I would like to program it in "c" instead of Pbasic.

Thanks!

There is a module from Sensory that does both voice recognition and speech synthesis in one. I suspect the "Say It" module is in fact the Sensory unit inside.

    MovieMaker,

For speech synthesis that is the most understandable, I like the products from RC Systems at www.rcsys.com. For demos to listen to, look for "Voice Samples" under the "Downloads" drop down menu. The voice output has many adjustable perameters such as speed, pitch, expression, reverb, formant frequency, tone, articulation and delay. These features are not shown fully in the demos, but listen to each of them because they vary a little bit from one to the next. You can play with all of these to create your own voice, or you can choose from a list of eight pre-programmed voices. I have used the V-Stamp and like it alot. Oh, take a look at the free RCStudio software package... all settings are done from there and you can look it over to help with the decision to buy or not.

Let us know what you think.

You're welcome, hope it helps you with a project. The V-Stamp is easy to use too.
