Help Locating Parts/ Printer Sensor Help

This may not be the place to ask, but does anyone know where to find the small white, red or yellow 2, 3 and 4 wire PCB wire interconnects? I have searched the Internet, and really am not having much luck locating any.
Next question.·I have been tearing printers apart to get the stepper motors out of them. I have also been pulling the sensors from them. They all look to be pretty much the same types of sensors. Is there any use for these in a robot? In other words, could they be used with a Boe Bot or on a Basic Stamp 2 for sensing movement, etc? Just a thought.
