Defective Stamp I/O?,...I need help please
I am working with an SX Stamp and do not understand what is happening.
I was getting false readings and started to "unplug" the IOs to the stamp.
When all is said and done, completely unplugged, ·P5 has a resistive value of 16M between P4 and P6 while as every other pin's resistance is open.
Could I have received a defective chip?
This pin was plugged to the output of another basic stamp in my project.
I am stuck,...under a deadline and did not know where to turn.
Anyone's input would be greatly appreciated.

How are you measuring the resistance? What do you have connected to the SX chip?
16M is a very high resistance. It may be completely normal depending on how you're measuring it and what else is connected to the SX.
Just on general principles, you probably have a program error. Generally when an I/O pin fails, it becomes shorted to Vdd or Vss or completely open.
