New microprocessor really sucks

When I was at college 45 years ago we had a lecturer who believed that fluidics had a lot of advantages over electronics. I actually designed a piece of equipment once that had to operate in a very hostile environment for which I used the pneumatic equivalent of a flip-flop. It used an air motor and pneumatic limit switches as well.
