RamBladeProp with SRAM to run CPM & ZiCog plus other LMM software (SMT pcb)

I have had a number of designs that have not come to fruition for one reason or another... Too much time to re-think options.

RamBlade·is a small fully smt version pcb about 1"x1.8" and·designed to·plug into·a Prop ProtoBoard (or similar) which will be used to download the code to the RamBlade and then act as a Terminal and I/O to the RamBlade.

RamBlade is designed to run...

• CPM2.2, CPM3 & ZiCog
• MoCog & Flex when complete
• PropDos
• Catalina C
• LMM programs
• Designed to connect to another prop board (ProtoBoard, etc) with I/O such as VGA, TV, Keyboard, Mouse, etc
• Boot code to be downloaded by the other prop board (no eeprom on pcb)

RamBlade specifications are... (Block diagram attached) (differs from that previously published here)

• Propeller + xtal (hopefully 120MHz operation)
• NO eeprom (must be loaded by another prop)
• SRAM 512KB (fast - no latches)
• microSD socket (currently accepts up to 2GB)
• External interface (to another prop e.g. ProtoBoard) as follows...
  • 3 pin PropPlug style interface to load prop/eeprom (SI, SO & -RST)
  • 2 pin serial interface for communication while running (seperate to the above which must be tristated)
  • power input 5-9VDC & Gnd
• onboard 3V3 regulation
• Will be available fully assembled

This will be an interesting combination with Ray's 4.3" PSM to do the I/O. I look forward to trying that combination.

Yes Mike. I have a 2.5" photoframe I would like to try as a monitor. It is very similar to the 1.5" keychain one interfaced by jazzed.
Now to swipe the qwerty keyboard off my imate phone
