RetroBladeProp with SRAM to run CPM & ZiCog plus other LMM software (T/hole pcb)

I have had a number of designs that have not come to fruition for one reason or another... Too much time to re-think options.

Here is my latest for your comments. Basically it is a through hole design (yes I know the DIP prop is hard to get, but that will hopefully be solved soon).

RetroBlade is designed to run...
  • CPM2.2, CPM3 & ZiCog
  • MoCog & Flex when complete
  • PropDos
  • Catalina C
  • LMM programs
  • Can run standalone or connect to another prop board with I/O such as VGA, TV, Keyboard, Mouse, etc

RetroBlade·specification... (Block diagram attached)
  • Propeller + xtal (hopefully to run at >100MHz)
  • EEPROM 32KB/64KB/128KB
  • SRAM 128KB or 512KB (fast - no latches)
  • microSD socket (currently accepts up to 2GB) smt but hand solderable
  • Capable of SBC (single board computer) operation
  • Alternate options for serial connection (only one option)
    • Keyboard PS2 interface via either PS2 or USB-A connector
    • PropPlug 4-pin header via external PropPlug (not supplied)
    • TTL 3V3 serial interface (2 wire)
    • RS232 serial interface (2 wire)
    • Note, transistor reset circuit can be mounted on the pcb so the RS232/TTL can reset and download the prop/eeprom
    • Can connect via PropPlug header to another propeller (like on the TriBlade) for Terminal and additional I/O
  • Alternate options for display
    • None (all 512KB SRAM available)
    • 1-pin TV (only 256KB SRAM available)
    • 2-pin TV (only 128KB SRAM available)
    • 3-pin TV (only 64KB SRAM available)
    • 1-pin TV & mono audio (only 128KB SRAM available)
    • 2-pin TV & mono audio (only 64KB SRAM available)
    • 1-pin TV & stereo audio (only 64KB SRAM available)
  • Anticipated to fit into Hammond 1593L enclosure (2.6"x3.6")
