Does anyone know a good place to find photo capacitor?

Oh wise and mighty Parallax forum gods! I seek your help in locating a photo cap that had me looking at data sheets all over the internet with little luck :(

Goofing aside I am working on a project to add some intelligence to a Nikon SB 600 flash and toasted the capacitor by firing it too fast. It seems that has put me in a world of hurt since I can not find a source to order a replacement that will fit into the flash body. Here is a picture and the specs on the cap:

Specs:
Rubycon
1000uf
330v
30mm dia and 40mm length

I am looking for that same cap or something that will work in it's place. I have found a cap with the right specs, but then it was almost double the length and would not fit the body... Any help would be awesome.

Thanks in advance,
Brann

Maybe... but it would have to be a perfect fit since there is like 40mm of space in that compartment of the flash body and it is a very tight fit. Do you have any experience harvesting camera caps? any ideas on a brand?

    shop.ebay.com/?_from=R40&_trksid=m38&_nkw=flash+capacitor

This link turned up 49 people selling flash caps of
    various sizes.

That capacitor would be pretty dangerous once it was charged up!

Both Electronic Goldmine and All Electronics usually have photo capacitors on the shelf...

Thanks for the quick reply everyone, but still no winner :(
I have already checked ebay and the closest match is this one:

    cgi.ebay.com/1pc-Rubycon-330V-1000uF-Photo-Flash-Capacitor-New_W0QQitemZ200328404237QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item2ea480dd0d&_trksid=p3286.m20.l1116#ht_654wt_939

Right specs BUT it is like 40mm too long and wont fit inside the protective housing of the flash until :(

This is a pic of the unit I am working with:
    ymsim.files.wordpress.com/2009/01/sb600back.jpg
The photo cap is housed where the camera pivots and it says -45- so space is a major issue. I checked over Electronic Goldmine and All Electronics and could only find either the 1000uf low voltage caps or 330v caps with a low uf rating :(
    Please keep the suggestions coming.

    Thanks again,

You may have to buy the thing from Nikon.

I know it's not what you would prefer to do but.
You could buy the cheapest cap you can get and
mount it into a tiny black project box and affix to the
rear of the flash...route the wires from the box.

The flash looks like it is big enough for a small box to
get stuck on it backside and not be too objectionable
    looking.

I'm going to be calling nikon repair shops tomorrow when they open and the thought of an external cap had crossed my mind. If anyone happens to stumble over the cap I need please shoot me a message. *Fingers crossed* that the nikon shops do not want a million bucks for a replacement if they will even sell me one....
Thanks again for all the posts :)
