VGA trouble shooting

I assembled a VGA kit board and loaded a several VGA demo objects.· After the load the VGA screen goes black but I have no colors.· I bought some copper braid from China yesterday but it hates solder except where it doesn't matter.· Do the demos just work or do I need some sort of keyboard input to kick them off.· Also I've been looking for info on using a terminal lauched from the prop tool folder but haven't found any examples specific to the Propeller.· I suspect when I wash my board in 99.99% IPA the·flux comes off and my solder becomes immune to copper braid.

Is this a protoboard? Did you add in all the required resistors?
    Try loading up the "vga_512x384_bitmap_demo"...

Perhaps you monitor doesn't want to sync to the regular VGA driver's output...
