What's the temperature range? What sort of rpm range? Is the rpm sensor required to operate in a high temperature range?

I've been looking at the MAX6675 Cold-Junction-Compensated K-Thermocoupleto-Digital Converter (0°C to +1024°C) to read the thermocouples for exhaust gas temperature on my 2 cycle ultralight aircraft engine.

Regarding the rpm, I picked up·the attached·circuit from the Parallax projects section.

Unfortunately I have not had the chance to breadboard either one. -Scott
