Frnds, what type/types of devices usually used in higher temperature environment and how to measure the temp ,in addition how much is the device compatible to basic stamp pdb?

The simplist way is the Parallax Product Fraklin mentioned. Other ways that I am more familar with, are explained on Dr Tracy Allens site

I have supplied their 2 data sheets below. The MAX 6675 has a drawback, in that it requires a 250 ms pause. If thats not an issue, It is very easy to use. Both are designed to work with Type K thermocouples.
