An idea for next year's Expo

After reading some articles on how the DEFCON name badges were made I thought it would be interesting for us to have Propeller based name tags. I then thought would it be a great idea to make it a contest on which person could create the best name tag. Then do a "fashion show" at the next expo to show off their creations and let everyone there judge them.
Of course there would be rules to level the playing field such as:
The platform to work from could be a Protoboard, Spin Studio, a custom board made for the contest or others.
Also a budget limit to keep the name tags from becoming huge creations.
Any thoughts or suggestions on this idea?

But, if anyone is up for the challenge, that would be really neat.

I learned a valuable lesson this year with the name badges at UPEW.
I had this sudden "inspiration" to use the RFID tags themselves as badges.
(Sounds really good on paper!)
However, because of a lack of research on my part, I made the following discoveries
along the way to UPEW.
1.. No one makes labels the size of the RFID tag.
2.. One should never travel with 100 RFID tags in their flight carry-on.
(Groups of them glow very strangely on xray, and TSA has NO sense of humor)
3.. Hole punching these cards does NOT work. They tend to break the hole puncher.
4.. If you know someone with a drill press you can drill holes in 100+ cards... however...
5.. Drilling any hole in the card itself which even "nicks" the copper coil will kill the RFID card.
I felt positively terrible about the name tag failing. The only purpose they
served was to hold the actual sticker with the name.
At the end of the day, Ken G. forgave me for killing 100+ RFID tags.
In fact they were cheaper than the plastic badge holders we used for UPENE.
I took away a very good lesson from the experience.
If someone wants to take on the creation of an elaborate badge, I welcome it.
Just learn from my mistake and plan ahead well... Do your homework.

I am microcontrolled.
But you·can·call me micro.
If it's not Parallax then don't even bother.
I have changed my avatar so that I will no longer be confused with others who use generic avatars (and I'm more of a Prop head then a BS2 nut, anyway)

It's what you have when you already have an idea, and you then you get another one that you need to distinguish from the first.
