Robo Magellan
At UPENE there was an rc truck converted for robo Magellan competitions. There were also a number of posters concerning the project, but alas my camera was back at the motel. One of Brian's pictures shows the bot along with the posters, but I can't read them when I enlarge the picture. Does anybody have closeup, high res shots of the posters? Maybe the owner can post them here or post a link if they are already online elsewhere.

That was my robomagellan at UPENE.· The week before it won the ChiBots RM competition.· The attached files include the writeup on the poster (RMDesc) and Google Earth files for the destination pylons, the data log for Run 1, and the data log for Run 2.
A video of Run 1 can be seen at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TsQJlg1t1eE
Run 2 was much better.· The robot touched all three pylons in 1 minute 45 seconds.· So far, no one has posted a video of that run.

We spoke several times last Saturday, a very impressive bot. I'll have to do a little research to find out how to handle the .kml files in Linux, but most of the information I was looking for is in the .html file.
Thanks,
Ron
Others have had problems with Google Earth.· I see that there is a Linux version available at http://earth.google.com/download-earth.html
Also, Chris Savage just posted a Basic Stamp data logger in the completed projects forum.· It gives more information on Google Earth and kml files.
I have attached jpg files of the Google Earth display of the two runs.
