Propeller Memory Trainer ?

Members,
The propeller is a great chip, but of course you already know that.
I would like to start to learn more about How memory works, memory storage, memory access and I/O memory flow.
"Now don't get me wrong", the ability for the propeller to connect to a SD card is great and I love it, however I would like to work with it "old school".
Are there any posts, articles or books available on this subject?

Or DRAM, there are several of those also with:
http://forums.parallax.com/forums/default.aspx?f=15&m=375446 #current project attaching 8MB Memory, 8MB Flash, and CPLD to a prop
http://forums.parallax.com/forums/default.aspx?f=25&m=119052 #talk about attaching a 30pin SIMM

Unfortunately, there is a lot of specifics missing because it comes right down to the datasheet of the memory you are using.
PS. If someone would like to post other threads they know of, this would be a great thread to gather them all. Kind of like a sticky

SRAM or DRAM.
A sticky would be a great starting point.
Just wanted to know if anybody has developed a training document or tutorial and witch would be the best for a beginner to learn with.
Thank you for the info.
