Hey there,
I have two http://www.mountainkingtech.com/ Brilldea 3.0" LCD and Driver PCBA Mounting Kit acrylic kits that I picked up at UPEW.
I don't have any of Timothy's displays, but I'd be pleased to send one of these to two different Prop forum members who have http://www.brilldea.com/product_30LCDanddriver.html from Brilldea.
Just send me your shipping address by e-mail kgracey@parallax.com and I'll get one of these to you.

Computers are microcontrolled.
Robots are microcontrolled.
I am microcontrolled.
But you·can·call me micro.
If it's not Parallax then don't even bother.
I have changed my avatar so that I will no longer be confused with others who use generic avatars (and I'm more of a Prop head then a BS2 nut, anyway)
In addition to the displays I have black and white mounting kits from Mountain King Technology but I haven't place them on my web site yet. If you are interested in a mounting display as well as the product drop me a PM or e-mail and I can work out the pricing. The mounting kit pricing is US$7.00 per kit.

I love the Propeller since I got to do some prerelease reviews and writing about the Propeller. I have created a couple commercial/one-off projects with the Propeller. I have several projects on the drawing board. Recently I started a limited release of a new LED controlling product called the Illuminator-CA which is listed in another thread here somewhere.
I hope to find more great products like the TFT display and driver board as I get back to the electronics markets and brining those to markets. I have a few items here that I haven't listed yet such as 10Hz GPS units, current clamps, etc.

Years ago when I owned a company in Singapore, I recall that the Sim-Lim tower was a place that just HAD to be visited, and so I did. It's was a multi-storey (9?) building where EVERYTHING electronic is for sale, all by mom/pop kiosks..... but it's all there.
Can you tell us if that still exists, and can you give us your impression of it if you have been there?
Cheers,
Peter (pjv)
It's still there and it's a *must see* for any visit to Singapore.
When I was last there the square in the middle was hosting a fashion parade with some of the most incredible human clothes horses I've ever seen, although there was not a lot of clothing on display ;). The best of all the worlds.
You can always pick up what you are looking for in Sim Lim.

lt's not particularly silly, is it?
I enjoy a visit to either place that is for sure. If you haven't been to asia before, they are a must see. However if you have seen the markets in China, as I have, these are a bit dissapointing. If you really want to be blown away, I mean REALLY blown away you have to see the market in Shenzhen. Entire blocks of the city devote to multi-story buildings with nothing but electronic components, computers, devices, tools, etc, etc. AMAZING.
