I am working through his Machine Language tutorial.

I noticed that he hasn't been seen on the forums for quite some time. Did something happen?

    He starting writing a book about the propeller, and he decided to drop off these forums to work on it and because he thought he was not being appreciated, afaik.

    I loved reading deSilva's postings, he should come back.

    Did he forget we have a challenge going on for the fastest Z80 emulation on the Propeller [noparse]:)[/noparse]

    You may be able to locate him on other forums where he might be active...even under a different name.

    Even the government uses a search engine to locate material posted by individuals on the net. This is
    done by finding idiosyncrasies in the way they write and searching for those patterns along with other
    terms that would tend to relate to the person. For this guy I'd use technical terms to narrow the search.

    If you find him then you could coax and cajole him into come back?

    I'd search usenet as well as the web.

    There is a German Propeller-forum where he had been active (as deSilva). But he quit there too at about the same time. But that forum is dead anyhow.

    To publish a book about Propellers, he'd be quite slow. But maybe Parallax gave him the Prop II and he's writing a book about that one. Only thing: Parallax has locked him into a secret place and they forgot to feed him for a month or two.
