Greetings from VA Beach.· Just a quick question... I remember seeing a manual (or maybe a document) that "mirrors"·the boe-bot·manual using the PROP (instead of BS2).· Any direction would be greatly appriciated.
There's no Prop Boe-Bot manual that I know of. The Propeller Education Kit tutorials are a nice introduction to the Propeller, but they have nothing to do with Robotics applications. There are some other documents and links to other sites in the "Getting Started" sticky thread in the Propeller forum. I'd also recommend looking at BoeBotBasic in the Object Exchange. This was originally written for use with a SpinStamp substituted for the Stamp on a BOE. You have to change some of the resistor values used for the LEDs and you have to add some resistors to protect the Prop pins from 5V logic signals, but that's easy to do on the breadboard area. There's a thread in the Completed Projects forum with pictures of the Prop Protoboard version of this Propeller BoeBot.
Thanks a bunch. Sources you provided are great. I'm also beginning to realize the power of the prop. I've only had it about 6 weeks and am beginning to understand the functionality of it. The example code in the back of the book is good. I will be able to modify much of it for boe. Although the spin language is ambiguous at times, it is kinda starting to make sense. Scary...
Gents... Thanks again and have a great weekend. Wish I could attend the UPENE, but the Navy has other plans for me.

There is the PEKBot.

I have built a something similar.

I have since added a BlueTooth module (BlueSmurf) for sending data back to my laptop and also allowing me basic control the bot.

There was an article in the Spring 2008 Robot Magazine·of a PropBot using the PEKit also. I adapted using the Propeller Proto Board - much like James did. The setup he shows with the female headers around the Prop chip is shown in Oldbitcolletor's stuff - which is here - http://ucontroller.com/Propeller%20Protoboard%20Designs%20for%20the%20Beginner.pdf. This has lots of good info.
You can find code here - http://www.botmag.com/issue10/Propeller%20Code.zip and all the connections (Servos, Ping))) and LCD) are shown in the code.
