BS2sx pin question

I have my stamp hooked up to the Parallax 433 rf package...and an led connected to another pin showing when transmit PDN is high. To save a pin, is it possible to share the same pin that the PDN is going to with the LED? The LED only draws 10ma. If so, would I need any additional hardware. This is one of those times you hate to try until you ask!

If you're driving PDN with a Stamp I/O pin, the Stamp can supply the +5V needed. The cathode of the LED should be connected to ground (Vss). The anode should go through a 330 or 470 Ohm resistor to the Stamp I/O pin (and PDN)

Thanks Mike for the reply, I knew if anyone would know, it would be you. I've already got the LED working....with resistor of course, on another pin. I just wanted to make sure I could put both on the same pin....If I understand you right....you're answer is yes?

    Thanks again
