PropMod is not working

I have recieved a PropMod from mctrivia and it worked properly. That is, until I hooked it up to a Boe Bot body and had it run servos. It worked for a while then, until I accidentally plugged in a wall wart without taking the battery off first! I had it protected by a 5-volt regulator but somehow it still got damaged somehow. Although I did do this, I believe the trouble with it started BEFORE I did that and somehow my PropMod just broke for no reason. Now when you plug it in with all the proper regulated connections and everything it STILL doesn't work and the power light goes out until you unplug it. I assume that it is shorted somewhere to cause this but could anyone tell me WHERE so that I can attemp to fix it?
Thanks in advance!

Does the company have a warranty program? Most reputable companies have one, so just send the unit back, and have it replaced. I would not try to fix it yourself, will void the warranty for sure.

It is sold by mctrivia, a common forum member, on his site PropMod.com. I believe that he runs the whole thing from his garage. The thing of the matter is, he gave it to me for free. He gave away 5 free PropMods to anyone under 18 under the condition that they would use them in a Gadget Gangster project. I was about to impliment it in a gadget gangster project when this happened, and here I am.

I sorta had the same problem... The power supply section starts heating up a bunch and since it draws power from the usb, it doesn't really work...
