Parts sources

I'm working on a combination Tetrix / stamp bot with my son (Our first project)
Is there a FAQ anywhere that lists common internet suppliers for parts / sensors / and materials? I imagine the question gets asked quite a bit. Right now I am looking for a cheap fastener supplier. I would like to buy a bunch of BHCS, SHCS, washers, nuts, etc. I've seen several recommendations for sensors, replays, and components...I was just wondering if anybody bothered to compile a good list anywhere.
Thanks,
Carl

For electronics, I use mouser. For hardware, I've had a good experience from smallparts.com
For electronic parts see the attached PDF list

Are my top 5 sources for hardware. I also use Bisco Industries at work, but they are a distributor, not a retailer.

Depending on what small parts you need - I have found - much to my surprise - that my local ACE hardware has often got what I need - including a full line of nylon washers/screws/nuts, and metal screws down into those numbered sizes significantly smaller than 2/56 - I've been really shocked by some of the things I thought they'd never have - but did! I also have good luck finding stuff on eBay when I need some really odd stuff.
If you find any other good sources - let us know!
Dave
Whenever I go into my local ACE (3-4 times a week), someone invariably asks, "OK Howard, what strange project is it today?" hehehe
You'd be amazed what's possible with PVC plumbing fittings :))
@isofuncurves (cool name btw)
make sure to get some good epoxy - that stuff's the 'duct tape' of the DIY world!
cheers,
Howard
