I will have a serous look at propeller. The reason I thought of going for the SX/B was it might be easier than the prop as i can program it in basic. Then it might be a stepping stone to the prop.
However I will download propeller doc's and see if I can handle Spin.
If I get confused I may just buy another basic stamp kit. I also found some good Xbasic chips that will pug straight into the BOE and I like vb AND X Basic IS A SUBSET OF vb. and THE CHIPS are a little cheaper. but have more memory and speed.
But the Parallax forum will be my main support whatever chips.
Also the currency exchange rate has improved a lot since i ordered my first Basic Stamp kit.
