I see there is a "prop stick" version and a 40 pin dip version. From everyone's experiences what are the pro's / con's of either?
Thanks.
Thanks.

The DIP version·is the original kit Andy (the PE Kit Labs author) designed. He created the PropStick USB alternative because the basic programming platform takes a couple hours to tight-wire and thoroughly test with the DIP version, and there is more of an opportunity to make a wiring error. But again, replacing components is easy and relatively inexpensive. In addition,·we are big believers in developing breadboarding skills, and think this is definitely a good exercise for those who have the time.
Occasionally we have customers who won't have that much time, such as a teacher who needs to evaluate the PE Kit quickly, or who has a very short lab class, and does not want to spend time on the wiring. We use the PropStick USB versions ourselves as pre-built-up kits when we have the opportunity to have short, hands-on seminars at trade shows and other educational events.
Whichever kit you choose, I hope you enjoy it!
