Using bs2 as serial port controller

Hello new member here.
Here’s what I would like to do, use a fit pc running XT and robot basic using a comm. port connected to a BS2 to control relays sensors… etc. I’m sure that has been dealt with already (I printed the f.a.q. I found at the top of the forum) but would like a practical application.

Does anyone know of an article i.e., nuts and volts that someone has already written?
That would be a great help, thanks in advance, and much appreciated.

Did you look through the nuts and volts articles and pdf workbooks provided free from the Parallax website?

You need to look at the actual articles like this http://www.parallax.com/Portals/0/Downloads/docs/cols/nv/vol1/col/nv6.pdf
