Hi All,
Finally got my new off grid living situation under control and have a place to work again! I want to use an Optrex graphics·LCD display, part # DMF-50840-NF-FW. I have found the data sheet, but can't seem to find any information on specific commands. I haven't really worked with graphic displays. Is there any object in the exchange that might work? It's a standard 4 bit parallel interface. I'm going to wire it up and see if I can get it to do anything, but I thought I'd check here and with any luck avoid many hours of messing around.
Thanks!
Jonathan

If you do decide to try it, remember that getting the screen to show contrast should be your first step. I think that controller has the negative voltage generator built in, so you will need to get the caps set up right I think.
Thanks

Follow the Avnet link and you won't have to send your email address for the "specification" ... see .pdf on Avnet site.

I had seen that page and downloaded the Specs PDF. However, I noticed a link for "other app. notes" and there was one that had commands!
TYVM! A second look never hurts! Now all I need to do is get the CCFL backilight going.
