Alternative (mis?)Uses of the Hydra?

Hi all,

·Out of curiosity, can this Hydra board be used for other things besides games like robotics? It also looks like it would be a nice platform to build a music synthesizer.

    Sure. I used it as a timer for a dehumidifier drain pump. It kept track of the time of day and you could set a start time and duration in seconds to run the pump. It used a tiny TV monitor and a cheap PS/2 keyboard for setting the time-of-day, on time, and duration and display current status.

    You can use a Hydra to do most anything you can do with any Propeller board that doesn't need a lot of free I/O pins (which are in short supply).
