DS1302 Xtal?

Will this work in place of the normal cylindrical xtal for the DS1302?

    It should be OK. You need to connect it the right pin (X1).

    So, it is a "drop in" replacement for the normal xtal? Obviously, I would have to connect the pins correctly...

    The reason I ask is because on page 7 of that datasheet, it shows a circuit with the chip AND a 32.768 clock xtal, so...
