I need to be able to connect multiple boards together and was looking at surface mount 90 headers but on digikey they run about $6-$8 each. Anyone know of cheaper method or cheaper place?

    I use these:

    www.rapidonline.com/Cables-Connectors/Connectors-Multipole/PCB-Interconnect/Single-row-sockets/76075

I buy the longest ones and cut them to size.

You can always get some from Mil-Max....

Try their sample feature to see what one of them is like, and then you can go from there.

This is slightly off topic, but as I did not want to make another thread I will just say it here...

Does anyone know of an sip socket that is similar or the same as this one?· I would rather order straight from a manufacturer than from a distributor...

    Thanks.

    mctrivia:
Exactly how are you connecting two boards together? You mention SMT Right Angle connectors. Does this mean you are connecting them end-to-end? Have you tried Tyco's picture search? How many connections do you need?

    Vaati:
Try searching on Tyco's website for SIP Machined sockets. Enter "SIP MACHINED" in the search window and when the results come up, click on the keyword results tab. (the part number results tab shows first making you think you don't have any results. This is the link to the results page, not sure if it will work as a LINK. For example, check out P/N 2-1571995-0 which is a 20 pin with a 0.318" lead length.

    WBA Consulting,

Oh--I found what I needed from Mill-Max about 3-4 weeks ago...

My suggestion to anyone who needs connectors is to go to mill-max.com

    Thanks anyways.
