Running ServoPAL on Vin instead of Vdd on BOE

I am running four Parallax continuous turn servos through two ServoPALs on a Board of Education.· The servo headers have the power jumper set on Vdd.· My current battery pack is the Parallax battery back with boaster making the total voltage 7.5.· My question is could I switch the headers to run on Vin and not damage the ServoPALs even though the manual says 6.5v?· Or should I remove the boaster and lower the voltage to 6v because I’m not gaining a whole lot with the extra 1.5v then run on Vin?

    If you go higher than 6.5V you run the risk of overheating some components. For the most dependable performance, without risk of harming the ServoPAL, stay within the manual's recommendations.
