Propeller Controller Board Running Parallax GPS OK Without Resistor?

All right, before you tell me to go the the website, and download the PDF,·I already have and have talked to Josh in tech support. tongue.gif

I purchased a few of the now discontinued Pararallx Control Boards (#28205). I recieved·some REV A and some REV B boards. Does anyone know what the difference between the two are?

Also, does anyone know if there is a resistor between the GPS SIO pin and the Propeller P21? My old eyes are trying to trace out right now.·I figured Parallax would put one between a 5V and 3.3V device.

What will the Stingray control board look like? Can't wait.

Jim

Just a question to see if Parallax has given the OK to run the the Parallax GPS (#28146) on the Quad Rover Propeller Controller Board (#28205) without a resistor in line, (as the board is laid out)?

If anyone has a Rev B. PDF I would be most thankfull.

And the 330uh coil that is on the board does not show up in the schematic.

Any help on documentation would be appreciated.

    Thanks Rich,

I guess I should have said what will the schematic look like. smile.gif

I followed UPEW from afar and caught some of the sting ray photos and write ups·by Chris. Just thought I would get a couple of these boards to do a super BeoBot, but documentation seems a little lacking. A full Parts·Placement would help. I am trying to figure out what the 6082a chip is just below the GPS and to the right of the power switch.

I realize it·was a short run board to be used on the Quad Rover only, but I think Quad Rover owners would also·need this information.
