    data logger is what we need, we need it to not only store, but to be visible as well.

    Despite being famous for my crystall-ball, I have to admit that it fails over long distances.

    So maybe someone else has a better one, or you try it with a better description what you are talking about, what you've got and what you want and what your problem is.
