I am enrolled in an embedded class at University of Houston. I recently purchased a PING Sensor to incorporate with my PSoC. The purpose of this sensor in this project is to simply to call an ISR when an object is within 4-2ft. I am wondering if anyone can help me in the right direction.

Download the documentation for the PING from the Parallax webstore page for the product. Like most Parallax products, there are links on the webstore page for documentation and sample programs.

The coding examples for the PING is based on its use with a Parallax Stamp, but any microcontroller that can produce a logic level pulse to trigger the PING and measure the pulse width of the returned pulse on the same line should work. See the documentation for details.
