Quick and Dirty Javelin Stamp Test Setup??

I have two Javelin Stamp boards that required rework to repair defects and I am under the impression that they should now be functional. I do not know anything about the Javelin stamps, but was wondering if there is a simple way to test them like the Basic Stamp tester http://forums.parallax.com/showthread.php?p=759839.

    Would that be the Javelin Stamp Demoboard?

    Do you want to test the Javelin module or the board?

    You could use the board posted at that forum link to test the Javelin Modules…first you would need code designed for it. We may have the code, but I need to do some digging. So if you’re willing to build the test board let me know and I will see what I can come up with on my end. Take care.

    Yes, I am willing to build the test board and have one half done already on perfboard, just got the SIP sockets today. I am actually doing a re-layout of it so that it completely fits within the form factor of the Zif socket using SMT parts.

    Well good news anyway…I gave the test code to our Tech Support Josh Donelson yesterday and he was able to confirm that it works as I remember on the same circuits used for the BASIC Stamps. So I will attach the code here as well as add it to the Completed Projects project for the tester. As a note, both files in the ZIP should be in the same location.· You will load and run Javelin_Test.java and the J_test.class file should remain with it.· I hope this helps. Take care.

    Thanks, I'll give it a try when I can next week. Maybe I'll plug my iron into my inverter in the car and finish soldering my tester board in the car.... Maybe not......
